Sanford Drob’s original paintings address contemporary philosophical, theological, political and psychological questions. These include the ethical and theological significance of the holocaust (Inhumanity triptych), the oppression of the feminine (Hypatia Of Alexandria), the problem of human mortality (A Midrash On Time), and the existential threat to humanity posed by the destruction of the environment and the possibility of simulated digital consciousness (Post-humanity Triptych). Other works provide commentary on contemporary social and political themes.
In addition to his work as an artist, Sanford Drob is an author of books and essays on Jewish Mysticism, the psychology of C.G. Jung and other psychological themes (Books and Writings). He practices forensic psychology (Bio) and is on the Clinical Psychology Faculty of Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara and the faculties of the C. G. Jung Institute and C. G. Jung Foundation in New York .
